English for Science Club, Final Session 8

📝 May 6 – “English for Science” Club, Final Session (No. 8): “Presentation of Individual Scientific Project / Research”

In May, the final (8th) meeting of the scientific club “English for Science” (Department of English for Engineering 2) was held, dedicated to the presentation of students’ individual research projects.

During the session, students presented the results of their research in English in the form of online presentations, as well as written abstracts, demonstrating the academic writing skills, subject-specific vocabulary, structured presentation skills, and public speaking abilities they had developed throughout the year.

The participants presented relevant scientific topics, justified their approaches, answered questions, and took part in discussions. Special attention was paid to the logical structure of presentations, the quality of visual support, adherence to the principles of academic integrity, and the effectiveness of scientific communication.

The final session summarised the results of the club’s work throughout the academic year and confirmed a high level of student engagement and the development of key academic competencies.

Additionally, the club leader (Мaryna Degtiarenko) submitted a proposal for awarding extra credits to the students participating in the club for the second semester of the 2025–2026 academic year, as well as the official report for the second semester.
