The faculty members and students of the NN MMI, IHF, ITS, NN ISSZZI, and PBF departments participated in the academic virtual exchange project “European Perspectives 2024-25” alongside colleagues from other universities: Robert O’Dowd from the University of León, Spain; Raphael Bicroft from Karlsruhe University of Education, Germany; Petra Rauschert from the University of Munich, Germany; and Martina Paradiz from the University of Primorska, Slovenia.
Students explored significant topics such as gender equality, dialects in European countries, minority languages, migration, bilingual education, and learning English from new and in-depth perspectives. The research on gender equality promoted a critical analysis of contemporary challenges and achievements in this field, particularly considering the cultural and social contexts of European countries. The topics of dialects and minority languages allowed students to appreciate the diversity of Europe’s linguistic landscape and understand how different regions preserve their identity through language. Migration and bilingual education became important aspects, helping to understand the challenges of integrating linguistic minorities into various educational systems and raising awareness of the role of multilingualism in a globalized world.
The final outputs created by the students are truly impressive—comprehensive studies that contribute to the development of knowledge, inspire reflection, and provide valuable insights for future educational practices.
