Scientific research

The department takes part in scientific work at the Department of Foreign Languages and pays considerable attention to scientific activities involving teachers and students in research. The goals and objectives of research include the practical and theoretical courses taught by teachers of the department. The results of scientific research contribute to the modernization of the educational scientific and practical base. The scientific work of the department is an integral part of the educational process, which permits to implement scientific developments of the department in the educational process and involve students in scientific work.

Areas of scientific work:

• Publication of scientific articles in professional journals and publications included in international scientometric databases
• Review of scientific articles, dissertations and qualification papers
• Thesis at scientific conferences and publication of abstracts outside the KPI. Igor Sikorsky
• Organization of scientific and practical conferences at all levels.
• Providing scientific and advisory assistance to students of I-VI courses of non-language faculties in writing English-language professionally-oriented abstracts and participation in English-language scientific student conferences and competitions in professional disciplines.
• Working on dissertations.
• Facilitating the student scientific groups
• Organization and holding of scientific seminars.
• Integration of scientific work into the educational process.
• Preparation of textbooks and manuals
• Issuing collections of scientific articles on the subject of the department
• Reviewing and opposing dissertations
• Organization and conduct of research work of students
