Student’s rating system

The student’s rating in the discipline consists of the points he receives for:

Answers to 32 practical lessons (R1), MKR 1 (R2) and final test (R3).

Rc=R1+R2+R3=100 points

Answers in practical lessons cover:

  1. Work with the textbook;
  2. Conversation topics;
  3. The quality of independent work is assessed separately (up to 1 point)

In the first lesson of the 1st and 2nd semesters, entrance and current testing are conducted, which grades are not included in the student rating.

As a result, the maximum average weighted score is equal to:

80 points: 32 lessons = 2.5 points

MKR1 = 10 points

Final test = 10 points

System of rating (weighted) points and evaluation criteria.

The practical lesson is evaluated at a maximum of 2.5 points, where:

  1. Completion of individual and group tasks on educational and methodical material, according to the topic of the practical lesson (1,5):

HOW TO EARN 100 POINTS FOR THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSE AND EXPAND YOUR OPPORTUNITIES IN FURTHER EDUCATION

Congratulations to all first-year students, you are at the very beginning of a new, interesting, useful and unique part of life! Of course, congratulations are also extended to those students who have already experienced the novelty of the first year and are confidently continuing their studying at the university.

We will remind you that you learn the foreign language throughout the entire educational process, and in order to make it easier for you to find your way – we decided to help you a little!

RSO. This terrible abbreviation does not threaten you with anything. RSO is a rating system for evaluating students’ performance. And it assists you in getting the desired 100 points for the credit test.

In each course, your subject is called differently. The teachers have prepared “Introduction to general technical English” for first-year beginners who are getting acquainted not only with technical English but also with university life in general. In the second year, you are studying the same “general technical English” more thoroughly. Next, you will be acquainted with the English language professional course.

You get knowledge of a foreign language in a foreign language;) and the only thing that is constant in any course is the number of points 100! Each faculty and course has its own RSOs, so find exactly what is right for you!

On this site (if you are still here) you can find information about your teacher, his/her contacts and general information about their professional activities (the information is currently (and systematically) updated, so it is worth monitoring periodically).

Thus, here you can see how many points you can get, how to earn additional points, how to “lose” points by skipping a lesson, etc. The main thing is that in foreign language classes, you are guaranteed to love and respect your teacher, get the useful skills of a foreign language, full support and a good mood!

Homework: Find and check out the RSOs in e-campus or ask your teacher!
