Algorithm of work and learning results recognition

ALGORITHM OF WORK AND RECOGNITION OF LEARNING RESULTS

  • Read the list of “Open Resources for Informal Education” on the Coursera and Prometheus platforms; Choose one course and inform your English teacher about it (if you do not have contacts, inform the group head person, tutor);
  • Complete the course before the end of the semester (before the credit week/last lesson);
  • After finishing the course, prepare screenshots/.pdf files of your certificate and successfully completed course tasks (eg 70% and more);
  • Inform your English teacher about the completion of the course and send him/her the corresponding screenshots/.pdf files.

If you have access to other courses or platforms outside the list of recommended Open Resources for Informal Education, please let your English teacher know about it and agree on the possibility of taking the course you have chosen.

Validation of learning outcomes

Recognition of the learning results obtained during the course takes place in accordance with the procedures described in the current Regulation on recognition of learning outcomes at National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” acquired in non-formal/informal education.
The result in the certificate (percentage of successfully completed tasks in the course) can be recalculated in proportion to the points that were planned for the part of the discipline (e.g. the thematic module) that is re-enrolled. For example, if the applicant wants to transfer 15 points from the RSO and has 70% of successfully completed course assignments and a course completion certificate, the applicant will receive 10.5 points out of 15. Accordingly, 100% of successfully completed course assignments will bring the applicant the maximum number of points — 15. The number of points gained by the applicant during the semester can be added to the number of points in the certificate.
