There are a lot of ways to support Ukraine during wartime. Sally La Luzerne-Oi from Hawai’i TESOL had an idea of collecting the recipes of traditional Ukrainian dishes and publishing a book to raise money. The project was successful, and Family Recipes from Ukrainian Kitchens, the cookbook compiled for Wisconsin Ukrainians, Inc. was printed on July 12. Two days later the Ukrainian Picnic, one of the organization’s biggest fundraisers, was held outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The cookbook has 193 pages of recipes for Appetizers, Soups, Main Dishes, Side Dishes, Salads, Breads, and Desserts. Ukrainian educators are so proud to contribute!
