Completion of the English Course
«English for Inservice Science Secondary School Teachers in Ukraine»
The English course «English for Inservice Science Secondary School Teachers in Ukraine», supported by the RELO Office, U.S. Embassy Kyiv, and GO UCCI “Svitlo,” is over. This course lasted for more than one year and, despite difficulties of working and studying during wartime in Ukraine, most participants completed it. The English course was designed to enhance the English language proficiency of secondary school STEM teachers in Ukraine.
Oksana Chugai, an associate professor at the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, was one of the instructors selected for this project. The most active STEM teachers got notebooks from the organizers, which underscored the importance of being persistent and determined. The lessons were aimed at developing speaking skills firstly, as well as helping the participants to become autonomous learners through having access to all digital course materials on Oxford English Hub.
All the participants have expressed strong interest in ongoing learning, which demonstrates the positive impact of the course and their continued commitment to improving their language skills for professional development. This project will be sustainable and involve more STEM teachers in the future.
Special thanks to those who made this project come true:
