Participation in the 12th International Week of IMPACT and Erasmus+ at Hellenic Mediterranean University
In May 2025, representatives of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” took part in the 12th International Week of IMPACT and Erasmus+, hosted by Hellenic Mediterranean University (Crete, Greece). The event brought together international educators, researchers, and program coordinators to share insights and best practices on internationalization, innovative pedagogy, and cross-cultural collaboration.
As part of the academic program, Prof. Yuliana Lavrysh and Prof. Iryna Simkova delivered a presentation titled “Peace Education through Virtual Exchange”, highlighting the role of Virtual Exchange (VE) in promoting intercultural understanding, empathy, and conflict-sensitive communication in higher education. The presentation underscored the importance of VE as a powerful pedagogical approach that contributes to peacebuilding and global citizenship, particularly in times of crisis.
The week featured a wide range of sessions, workshops, and discussions on the future of international education. The event provided a valuable platform for in-person networking, reinforcing the significance of human connection in educational partnerships.
