We are pleased to report about the successful presentation of our master class! It provided a brief overview of virtual exchange (VE) as a powerful pedagogical tool for the development of global competencies and the promotion of internationalization in education.
This presentation offered a concise overview of Virtual Exchange (VE) as a powerful pedagogical tool for fostering global competence and advancing internationalization efforts in education. In a nutshell, VE involves technology-enabled, sustained, and collaborative online interactions between students from geographically distant locations, engaging them in shared learning experiences. We explored how VE directly contributed to the development of crucial global competencies, such as intercultural communication, critical thinking, empathy, and collaboration across diverse perspectives, essential for navigating an increasingly interconnected world. Also, the presenters provided practical guidance on how to effectively set up and implement Virtual Exchange initiatives.
