📝 On October 15, ‘English for Science’ – the scientific-oriented club of the Department of English for Engineering 2 – held its second session on “Cybersecurity and Data Science (Academic Reading Skills)”.
The session introduced participants to key terms, including reading skill assessment, types of reading tasks in different test formats, and students’ experiences. Participants analyzed differences, discussed key challenges, and explored practical tips for developing effective reading strategies within a limited time. They also worked on a reading passage from the IELTS Academic English exam and practised related tasks.
Students were invited to continue the discussion in subsequent club meetings and to prepare presentations of their scientific findings and interests by the end of the semester.
