Report on Ukrainian contest of video presentations

From October 6 to November 22, 2025, the Faculty of Linguistics at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, in cooperation with Dnipro University of Technology, National University“Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” and Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A. S. Makarenko, held a video presentation contest titled “Technological Advances in My Future Profession”.

The contest aimed to create conditions that support students’ professional growth, reveal their intellectual and creative potential, improve their English-language presentation skills, foster media literacy and critical thinking.

A total of 66 students from various faculties of KPI and partner universities took part in the contest. Based on the selection results, 50 of the best works were admitted to the final stage, recognized for their meaningful content, topical relevance, quality of delivery and creative approach.

The evaluation was carried out by a committee of 7 jury members who identified the finalists according to the established criteria. The maximum score was 70 points and covered the informative value and logical structure of the video presentation, the students’ language competence, the use of multimedia tools and creative approach.

Based on the voting results, the finalists were determined and the final ranking of participants was compiled:

1st place was shared by participants whose works scored 490–485 points:
1.Shynkarenko Volodymyr (ISZZI, С-34)– 490 points;
2.Miz Dmytro (ISZZI,С-33)– 490points;
3.PashininaYana (ISZZI, С-35)– 488 points;
4.BielovaSofia (PBF, PB-31) 486 points;
5.MustafaievaSamira(NU“Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, 301-FО)– 485 points.

2nd place was shared by participants whose works scored 484-479: 1.Krasiy Yaroslav (ISZZI, С-35)– 484 points;2.Korolov Yevhenii (ITS, TsK-32)– 482 points;3.Dovhopola Yaroslava (PBF,PB-31) 480 points;4.Driuk Vladyslav (ФІСЕ, ІS-31)– 480 points.

3rd place was shared by participants whose works scored 478-473: 1.Hryhoriev Ihor (ITS, TsІ-31) 478 points;2.Mykhailyshyn Zakhar (ITS, TsK-31)   476 points;3.Kozerenko Yevhen (ISZZI, С-34)– 475 points;4.Zaslavets Mykyta (ITS, TsS-31) 474 points;5.Ahalarova Anna (PBF,PB-31) 473 points;6.Shramko Zakhar (NU“Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, 301-FО)– 473 points.

The contest provided an excellent opportunity for students to demonstrate their knowledge, creative abilities and skills in presenting professional information in a modern multimedia format.

We sincerely thank the departments and instructors for their professional support of the students, as well as for their active participation in organizing the contest.

We also thank all participants for their high level of preparation, responsibility and creativity. The contest demonstrated that today’s students are motivated, talented and ready to confidently integrate innovations into their future professional activities.
