ALL-UKRAINIAN COMPETITION OF VIDEO WORKS
“MY FIRST YEAR AT UNIVERSITY”
OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE AMONG STUDENTS OF THE 1ST YEAR

We invite first-year students to take part in the All-Ukrainian competition of video works “My first year at university” in English, which will be held in the period from March 1 to April 27, 2024.
The purpose of the competition: to increase the intellectual and innovative level of higher education applicants, to stimulate motivation for the development of creative abilities and to create conditions for supporting gifted students
Language: English
The determination of the winners depends on the number of points received for the performance of this task.

Video is an extremely important tool in the educational process, especially in the conditions of the modern technological era. This art form allows you to visualize concepts, making learning more accessible and interesting. Video materials contribute to strengthening understanding (perception) and memory, and also develop students’ creativity. The use of video in education allows you to adapt learning to different learning styles, developing critical thinking. This multimedia approach contributes to the formation of an educational environment that stimulates the activity and development of the student’s personality.
Requirements:
1. Create a video “My first year at university” in accordance with the terms of the competition;
2. Use any platform to record high-quality video (for example, ScreenPal, Canva’s Video Editor, Adobe Premiere Rush, etc.);
3. Complete tasks individually; fill in the Registration Google Form;
4. Save the video work and sign: university_faculty_group_name_surname (for example, KPI_FTI_FB – 21_Danilo_Vasylenko);
5. Upload your video work to the platform of the Google Classroom web service on the basis of the Faculty of Linguistics of KPI named after Igor Sikorskyi within the specified period (until April 10, 2024) https://classroom.google.com/c/NjUxNjgxMTgyNzM0?cjc=c2mqaut
