At this stage, we discuss various cultural aspects among partner students and teacher. The following sub-topics are listed under “Cultures”:

  • This is my Language
  • This is what I think and believe
  • My religion and philosophy
  • This is how I have learned English

  • Traditional arts of my country/town

Tips for better writing:

A Sample paragraph structure for “Cultures”
When posting your messages on “Cultures,” why don’t you respect the following paragraph structure? Start your essay with some general statement and gradually move on to more specific ones. This would make your writing easier. As is often the case of this writing, you can’t fail organizing your composition by starting from general topics and moving to more specific ones.
Paragraph 1: General statement about the culture you’d like to introduce to partner students. Why have you chosen this theme?
Paragraph 2: More specific description of the topic you chose. What do people do? How does it look? Why is it important?
Paragraph 3: Description of your personal connection with the culture. What did the experience or the involvement in the culture bring to you? What taught you? How did you feel?
Paragraph 4: Concluding remarks. Repeat what you would like partner students to learn about it. What will the culture become of in future?
